In 2005, musical director of Theatre Three in Port Jefferson, the late Ellen Michelmore, saw something special in Amber. Ellen, who was vocal coach and dear friend to Amber, had asked her to cover Janis Joplin in  her production "Woodstockmania." Amber's performance was so well received that shortly after, Joplin's Pearl was born.

Playing such distinctive venues as Theatre Three, The Suffolk Theater, The Argyle Theatre, The Paramount, Bay Street Theater and The Patchogue Theater, Amber has taken Joplin's Pearl to a level of a full theater production.  Authentic attire, a nine-piece band, and Amber's paramount tribute to the very heart and soul of Janis Joplin will bring you back to the Summer of Love with some special salutes to songs from the Woodstock era…. feeling good is easy when Amber sings the blues… and feeling good is good enough for me.
